The story follows Shinpei Ajiro<\/strong>, who returns to his hometown to attend the funeral of his childhood friend Mio. Some believe that she drowned accidentally, while others speculate that she was murdered. Determined to uncover the truth, Shinpei embarks on a journey that leads to shocking and nerve-wracking revelations about the island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renowned Studio OLM <\/strong>produced the anime\u2019s first season, officially running for 25 episodes from April 15, 2022, to September 30, 2022, on various local networks in Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disney+ streamed the anime outside of Japan with both sub and dub, and it received a positive reception from viewers and critics alike. Many praised it for its well-thought-out supernatural murder mystery, impressive production value, and outstanding soundtracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Summer Time Rendering Season 2 hasn\u2019t been confirmed to be in the works, so there\u2019s no release date<\/strong> for the anime yet. Because the main plotline of the manga was completely adapted in the first season, it\u2019s unlikely that the anime will ever return, but there\u2019s no harm in hoping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the anime to continue, the studio will have to either adapt the sequel manga or create an original story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
