Gabi Braun and Falco Grice escape the prison and take refuge with the Braus family, who accept them as a pair of runaways. Kaya, one of the orphans who lives and works with them, is aware that the two are actually from Marley and takes them to where her mother was killed by a Titan four years ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

She asks them what her mother had done to deserve such a gruesome death, and is unable to accept Gabi’s rhetoric about needing to pay for the sins of Eldians committed long ago. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Falco explains that her mother was a victim of circumstance during an earlier mission and after coming to terms with that, Kaya offers to take them to meet a Marleyan at the restaurant the Braus family is going to, in hopes of finding a way to get Gabi and Falco home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elsewhere, Hange Zo\u00eb is forced to deal with insubordination when Floch Forster and three other members of the Scout Regiment are caught leaking information about Eren Jaeger’s imprisonment. In Marley, the military has realized that Zeke Jaeger has faked his death and likely sided with Paradis Island. Rather than wait six months for a global offensive, Reiner Braun suggests they make a surprise attack before Zeke can come up with a defensive plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
